Google Celebrates International Women's Day With a Work of Art

Head on over to Google today (in the U.S. and the UK, but we haven't seen it in Canada or Australia) and check out the work of art celebrating International Women's Day on March 8th. I am enjoying the diversity in skin color, headwear, glasses, jewelry and hair accessories.

Commemorations are taking place around the world as communities celebrate women's advancements and take the time to think potential in the years to come for women's rights around the world. While we don't hear as much about it in the United States as in other countries such as throughout Eastern Europe, likely due to its historical ties to the Socialist Party, the commemoration's roots go back to women's labor rights in garment factories in the early 1900s.
