I have signed up to be home room parent for my daughter's classes since she was in kindergarten. Every year the parties have given me issue. It has been difficult organizing the volunteers and food because no one else can see what has already been signed up for. So inevitably we end up with too many carrots and not enough drinks.
Not this year. I stumbled across a great website that solves my problems called SignUpGenius. Now I can manage what I need donated and all of the classroom parents and teacher can see what people are bringing and what is still needed. Much simpler then an email list or a paper note.
They have cute themes and you can customize the sign up for whatever you need from potluck dinners to nonprofit fundraising to the team carpool. They have a simple interface, email you when someone signs up, send out reminders, and it is free. What a great way to keep your sign ups and lists organized. Check them out!
