The Final Fantasy music game will be developed by the creator of Electroplankton and Retro Game Challenge, Square Enix says.
Launching the official home page for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, a 3DS rhythm action game based on the classic role-playing game series, Square Enix revealed that it will be developed by the small Tokyo outfit indieszero.
It's an intriguing choice of developer, one that has produced a handful of very good cult classic games. Nintendo's musical playground Electroplankton shows the company can handle rhythm games, and it also created two of my favorite Nintendo DS games with the Retro Game Challenge series.
I don't want to build up anybody's expectations too high, least of all my own, but this is a good sign.
