Just one more thing, and then Final Fantasy concert week can come to an end: The “Distant Worlds” concert tour will perform two more dates this year, in Vancouver and Chicago, with Uematsu joining in the Chicago performance live on stage.
Tour promoter AWR Music said in an email to fans that the “Chicago Mages,” a rock band put together for the concert by the promoter, will perform “Advent: One Winged Angel” with the orchestra and chorus, with Uematsu joining in on synthesizers. Also in appearance at the Chicago show will be Detroit-based singer Susan Calloway, so you can expect some of the vocal pieces that aren’t usually performed at Final Fantasy shows.
The Vancouver show will be held on October 8, and the Chicago show on December 12. Tickets are available now.
If you can’t make it to either of those shows, note also that Video Games Live has many dates scheduled for 2009 and 2010.
